I don’t know of anyone who likes to wait! It seems we are being asked to “wait” a lot lately. We have become so accustomed to instant gratification that waiting is seldom any more. We have insta-cart, on-line banking, drive-through windows, and mobile apps that meet our every demand almost from the moment we tap, touch, or talk to the screen. Waiting is hard
I have never been an early-riser! In fact, I am not especially fond of the early morning jarring as the
alarm clock sounds off disturbing me from the comforts of my down pillow and favorite blanket.
In a world where anything you want is just a click away; where food can be ordered through an app and delivered to your door in less than an hour, it can get frustrating when you’re asking God for something and all you hear is silence.
Unanswered prayers can trigger many emotions within us – from confusion to disappointment to anger. Often times these emotions not only show our lack of understanding of how God moves but it also leads us into thinking that He is not listening.
Do you spend as much time in communication with God as you do communicating with your friends? Hard to find the time, right? Too many things going on in your everyday life that you cannot simply find a quiet moment to give Him your undivided attention. Seasons are a part of life. Just as the leaves turn to rusty hues and the cold winds blow away the warmth, so do our lives change. There are times of darkness, times of light, days to plant and years to reap.
